2023 Challenge
In 2023, students collaborated with the American Red Cross to develop strategies aimed at attracting a diverse volunteer workforce for the Disaster Action Team and the Home Fire Campaign, focusing on enhancing emergency response and fire safety in diverse communities.
2023 Facilitators
Rebecca Julifs (she/her)
Rebecca is a recent graduate from RIT with a BFA in Graphic Design and minors in Advertising & PR and Marketing. At RIT, she attended EUREKA! twice and participated in GD Club’s e-board (2020-2023). Her main design objectives are to employ design thinking skills to create empathetic, human-centered, and positive-impact solutions.
Currently, Rebecca is a graphic designer based in Union City, NJ. She is a Packaging Design/Marketing Intern for LF Distribution Holding Inc. in New York, NY at the Li + Fung’s Empire State Building headquarters.
Jennifer Schroll (she/her)
Jennifer is currently an industrial designer at PassiveLogic, a tech start-up company in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah that is focused on creating the world’s first platform for generalized autonomy for buildings. She is part of the Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering team who work to turn new ideas into industry-leading products.
Before earning an MBA from RIT in 2022, Jennifer completed an undergraduate degree from RIT’s Industrial Design Program in 2021. It was during her freshman year in RIT’s Industrial Design program that she discovered EUREKA! She loved the event so much that she continued to participate in it every year until she graduated from RIT. She is excited to be returning to the event in a new capacity and looks forward to seeing this year’s EUREKA Teams in action.

Brooklyn Hutchison (she/her)
Brooklyn is a senior in the Graphic Design program at RIT, double minoring in Photography and Psychology. She is interested in book design, but strives to design for social and environmental good in all aspects of design. Brooklyn is currently completing a book design internship with the Vignelli Center for Design Studies.
Char Miller (they/she)
Char is a senior in the Graphic Design program at RIT. They are minoring in Craft and Materials Studies and completing their immersion in Advertising and Public Relations. Char is also the Studio Manager for Command+g Design Lab. Char focuses on brand design, packaging design, and typography.
Gabi Johnston (she/they)
Gabi is a senior in the Graphic Design program and pursuing minors in Marketing and Comic Studies. They are interested in print, branding, and packaging. Gabi works as a designer with Command+G and a marketer with RIT Venture Creations.
Sneha Yalgi (she/her)
Sneha Yalgi is a senior in the Graphic Design program at RIT and is minoring in Advertising and Public Relations. Her interests in design lie in branding, social media, interactive, and motion design. She has interned with SAS this past summer and has worked for various RIT social media accounts.
